On a fake line?

Wiseguy money would outweigh public money if it were so lopsided in one favor

Lebron James can't beat me in 1-on-1. Prove me wrong.

A 3rd string NFL center was a great college player. There are a SHITLOAD of Bama players who will never sniff the NFL. Add the fact that NFL players are 1) physically more developed and 2) smarter.

As others have said, Bama would get their asses handed to them. You can't judge a bad pro team for losing to other pro teams.

What does any of that have to do with disproving that an All-SEC team could beat the current Jags team

Can't. But I'm not the one making the initial assertion. People all over the place are saying no college team or all-star team has a chance. Ok. Based on wut?

You said this:

quote:

The gap between the NFL and college is exponentially greater than the gap between college and the NFL.

Did you mean to say this:

quote:

The gap between the NFL and college is exponentially greater than the gap between college and High School.

Let's make this game happen. Some station will pick it up, so make it worth it to the players too. Give them double the amount they make per game, and see if we can't find compensation for the Jaguar players too while we're at it.

Y'all are all probably right about bama getting destroyed, but wouldn't it be cool to see them play. I would love that.

Once again, you're not appreciating the sheer difference in talent when comparing the NFL vs. college teams.

Last year Bama wouldn't lose by 50+ to Jacksonville. They're a lot better than Bama, but not 50 pts.

Based on how few players actually become serviceable NFLers, even on an all-SEC or All-American CFB team.

Jacksonville is a bad NFL team, but their worst player would be one of the top 5 players in college today. Seriously.

I bet the oddsmaker interviewed also said these numbers with the intent of stirring up the pot....if it were to really happen he'd have a higher spread

The nfl o line and d lines would absolutely manhandle the college lines. Think of bama's line last year who weren't anywhere near ready to be good nfl starters and what they did to a bunch of future nfl draft picks at Georgia in the running game. Well the jags have o linemen who at this point are significantly better than the Bama o line last year. They would push the sec talent WAY off the ball 9/10 times for 8-10 yard gains.

Must be factoring in Bama refs.

I'm not sure you appreciate the team that is the Jags

The truth of the matter is that if this game were to actually happen, the betting line would be "off". I don't care what some hypothetical oddsmaker says.

No casino would be dumb enough to set a line and take action on this.
