Barash should be the best defensive catcher. Chinea's strength is his bat. The new cat we signed late is a wild card and I don't know anything about him.

He caught one/two games for team USA. Then, if iirc, PM made some general statement about being open to moving him. He wasn't explicit, but it started talk of him catching. Nothing really legit.

However, during the scrimmage Sat the Gold was mostly the starters but Ibarra was playing Short with Purple. I thought it was odd. But until this year I has never really followed the practices very closely.

Bregman isnt playing catcher. Let's just put that to rest. I mean i have no info but that seems highly unlikely to me.

I seriously cannot imagine a realistic circumstance where Paul would ever put Ibarra at 1st, unless he was hurt.
