It's been pretty slammed but the que line has beer in a trough. Even the line was long drinking a beer while waiting makes it go by faster. The burgers were pretty damn good IMHO. They have different game; buffalo, kangaroo, elk etc.

Went on Monday night at 8:30 so it wouldn't be so crowded. Poor parking lot design which doesn't seem to utilize the space makes it seem more crowded than it is.

I got a burger with buffalo meat, blue cheese and jalaps - wife got a boring burger - both tasted great, except they were ridiculously greasy. Halfway through the burgers, we stopped eating the bottom bun b/c it was mush. Fries were good.

As someone said, they do advertise for several different types of game meat (buffalo, venison, kangaroo, gator, elk, beaver, and probably 5 others that I can't recall) - but these are only available randomly, and I'm guessing most of those items will be perpetually "out of stock." It sounds like it's more of a cool gimmicky thing to put on your menu, and probably wouldn't make much sense to stock up on kangaroo meat in your fridge.

They've got about 15 beers on tap, which sadly is a great selection in Shreveport. Probably another 30 by the bottle. You order your food when you walk in, and they call your name to get it - the annoying thing is that you have to order draft beer separately at the bar. And anytime you want another beer, you've got to get up and go stand at the bar for it.

The bar and patio area are large and would be a great spot to watch a game. But hopefully they will make a move to having drink waitresses walking around at some point to take drink orders from the bar.

At the end of the day, it's a burger joint so I wasn't expecting the best meal of my life. Glad we have a new place to go. I'll give it a "B"

I'd go at 11:00 or 1:00 if you want a parking spot

I've gone to the one in Arlington. I really like it. Good beer selection, decent root beer, and actually quite tasty burgers.

I went sunday afternoon at 2pm, specifically to beat any crowds. the parking was good then, and it wasn't slammed but it was steady the entire time we were there. the line never let up, but it wasn't out the door either.

i did sit in the bar at first and also thought it would be an excellent place to watch a game...although the line of sight can be sketchy, so if the one or two tvs you can see didn't have what you wanted, thats just it...thats what you're watching.

i didn't care one way or the other about the goofy fake name ordering system they have, but i wasn't going to be punked by the cashier like some bitch, so i told her i had to approve my name. luckily she must have known i meant business because she had already chosen Butch Cassidy, and i didn't have to break a glass over her head.

The burgers were good, i had buffalo meat (which i've always enjoyed, i don't like fatty meat) with bacon and blue cheese. (whats that? i don't like fatty ground meat but i got bacon and that's hypocritical? yes, it is, but im a hypocrite...)

the sauces were good, and the fries were standard and the burger was good. all in all, i'm sure i'll go back several times, but only on the off hours, frick those lines out the door.

i was interested in the patio. it looked like it got good wind going through it and they seemed to have a yard with lawn games set up out there, but i didn't go look.

Well, I did not get there today until 11:30 and the line was not out the door but was almost to it. I asked a lady who was about halfway in line how long she had been waiting and she said 25 minutes. My employees and I decided not to wait it out and go to Rotolo's and it was Calzone Wednesday!! Which were delicious BTW.

Will try Twisted Root another time

They have a lot of them here around DFW. Although I think they are too much for a burger.

Went Sunday about 4 pm. Line not out door but close. Waited about 20 minutes in line. Got the Spicy Goat (goat cheese with chipotle sauce) with Bison meat. Good burger but not earth-shattering. Have several types of house made pickles that were all good. House made barbecue sauce is really good. Bar area looks pretty good to watch a game. It will be a lot nicer once crowds die down.

Correction: they have 15 good beers on tap. Lawnmower, Lazy Magnolia Stout, NOLA blonde/brown, etc. That's enough for me.

The Pastime Labor Solution. I think it's one of the best aspects of the place. Shreveport doesn't have college kids. There are very few smart, hard working 20-somethings to populate the service industry. 90% of the waitstaff I encounter in this town are functionally retarded. Twisted Root removes this variable. Also worth noting: to my knowledge Twisted Root is the first place in town to incorporate the novel idea of giving back your card when you open a tab at the bar.

I think it's terrible. I realize how lazy it sounds of me, but I don't want to fetch my own beer. If I am eating at a table during a crowded bar time, I don't want to stand and try to get the bartender's attention for 5 minutes, have him pour the beer, take my money, disappear again, and bring me back change 2 minutes later.

I understand why they are doing it that way, I'm just hoping they'll adapt in the future.

If trying to eat at a table dinner across the restaurant with a group of friends with whom I'd have to be segregated for 7 minutes everytime I want a beer, probably not.

Well if it's crowded and taking so long, order two beers.

Just another chain from Dallas. Give them a few years and they'll be as ubiquitous as Chili's. With that said, They do have a good burger and the toppings really make it. And they always have a good beer selection....The guy that owns it just opened a Food Truck Court and Bar called Truck Yard It's been slammed the first 2 weeks. Look soon for that concept in a town near you.

I also don't want to wait 7 minutes for 2 beers. Look, it's just a complaint about the place, nothing more nothing less. I don't need assistance figuring out alternatives to the restaurant's shortcomings.

I also pointed out my burger was soggy. I'm not going to demand that I get to oversee the cooking of my bun next time I go. When I go, I'll just accept the fact that I may have a soggy burger, and I'll have to get up and order my own beer.

Not ideal situations to me, but when I go back, I'll obviously have accepted the fact that I'll have to live with it
