Does not sound good at all. I was optimitic about this kid coming ot LSU; but after reading the article i see why there are people saying he is a Bama lean. I know many dont want to hear this but i have always thought he would be a tiger; but not anymore. I definitely see him as a Bama lean now.

Pay site.
Chad simmons is a national recruiting analyst. I know i am going to get flack for bringing this topic up.. but i am just putting it out there. i was one you believed he was a big lsu lean but in the article he talks about how great the bama defense is and playing with that defense would be great. He also states how close he has become with the guys on defense for bama (he actually lists 6 or so players by name). He also says that Diase has not been pressuring him to commit. He says diase has actually told him to do what is best for him. Diase told Hootie that his time at LSU will come so he is being patient with getting his playing time. He also says that Sims and Robinson have not pressure him to commit to bama but have said they would love to play with him in college.

yep, that's pretty typical recruit speak.

with that said, I'll be surprised if we land him, seems insiders have grown less confident with him outside of sunshine pumper ponamsky.

Well he elaborated more positive things about bama. Reading the article you didnt get the feeling LSU was the team to beat. you have to read it to really get what I'm saying

The last 3 predictions on 247 have Hootie to the Gump state. There's starting to be a little smoke. I know it's not popular, but I won't be surprised either way.

This is laughable that we even have to worry about another 5 start going to bama instead of LSU. Especially since the players we put in the NFL at safety. I'm gonna end up getting banned before the season is over.

yes.. and trust me i know how important hootie is to this class and i am the last person who want this to happen; but it doesnt look positive.

He also says in the article that he wants to decide soon and he could very well wake up the next day and commit.. he says he is trying to 'feel' where he should be and he is waiting on that feeling. He's been praying about it too.

It's cool you updated the situation a little, but that's basically how it's been for awhile now. He has never been an LSU lock, but nothing you paraphrased hasn't been said before. He's keeping it quiet but LSU is still in really good shape. National writers can be a little bit leading with questions as well, fwiw, and an article about an LA kid considering Bama sells subscriptions on both sides of the fence.

Grasping for straws. NOTHING out if Hootie's mouth is bad for LSU. Simmons tries to imply a bit by saying he's being pressured to stay home. Monday when I talked to my guy Hootie was LSU.
