Anyone got a suggestion for a comfortable one? Need one for gun season with my son. I had a game winner from academy and that pos was a torture device. Since you can't try a store display I thought the wisdom of the OB would be helpful.

I got one for my wife and daughter to hunt with me in. It's comfortable and stable. Can't remember the brand. I'll try and find something on it. I've already put it up for bow season. Got it a McKinney Honda in Ruston.

What did you find uncomfortable because you would be better off with a cheap stand modified to fit you in most cases.

+10000000 for the Millennium. Took a while for me to muster up the courage to spend the money, but it is WELL worth it.

I've got a couple of old API(?) stands at our place. Once you replace the crappy cushions that came with them, they sleep good.

I suggest building a big fat box stand.

Big Game Nexus. It is 20' tall and has the same seat design as the millenium, also about 150 bucks cheaper. Really comfy and can be bought at cabelas

We have several of these on our place. We had the Academy specials for a few years, but when they fell apart we replaced them with the Big Game Treestands. The model we have is the "Big Buddy." They are very comfortable and the back even reclines a little bit.

Keep an eye on Bass Pro/Cabela's flyers, as they usually have them on sale with $50 or so off normal price. I think we paid either $149 or $199 for ours.

ETA: Bass Pro is selling them for $169 right now.

buddy has this stand and I have hunted it a few times. It is generally very comfortable but there is center support underneath and between the two seats that can be uncomfortable unless you sit only on one side or the other.

I bought the academy ones and bolted plywood to the seat to make it about 8" deeper. Threw on a outdoor cushion. Makes a HUGE difference. More comfortable than anything else out there.

Rivers edge Jumbo Jack, comfy and really sturdy? Kind of a pain to put together but not real bad.

I got this one and just bring an additional cushion to sit on. Instructions for assembly are crappy, but stand is sturdy and fairly light to raise up.
