In the last 3 losses-Bama, Clemson, and UGA, the defense failed to stop the other team on a game winning drive. Against Bama, the perfect play(screen to Yeldon) was called and he made it to the end zone. Yes, that hurt but against Clemson and UGA, it was simply a case of terrible DB play. In both cases, the defender let a receiver run right past them. ( 4th and 16 vs Clemson was just sick)

Dinardo said we didn't need any wholesale changes just do we we do better. I mean Les. He says we need to get better at letting wr's get behind us. No wait. Heck I don't know "nut-ting".

didn't we also give up a score right before the half to alabama and georgia? (not sure if that happened against clemson)

Not many people are talking about the score with 20 seconds to go in the half that Georgia converted. If that's a field goal or a stop, it changes a lot about that game.

3rd and Chavis. We were warned about this, his only crutch. An otherwise brilliant coach.

The experts here told us last season the problem was simply the defense getting tired when you had to be as blind as bat not to the defense was struggling.

To some extent les is right. We have who we have. They need to be coached up. That happened before but not consistently.

our talented guys are young and our experienced guys aren't so talented or haven't lived up to hype. there are guys like loston and eugene that just aren't good cover guys but are better at run support.

This. Basically, we're paying the price for a weak 2012 class. With top talent leaving for the NFL after 3 years, you basically have to find your playmakers from your last three recruiting classes. Very few freshmen can be impact players, so you need the sophomore and junior classes to perform.

The 2011 class is contributing most of the playmakers, but the 2012 class is a big gaping hole. 2013 looks like it has playmakers and 2014 , should be a good year when they get here, but for this year we just have too many holes because of lack of impact players in the sophomore class.

Next year won't be much better. We will lose the NFL caliber players from the 2011 class and the 2012 class won't provide quality tomreplace them. The 2013 and 2014 classes will have quality, but not enough experience.

2011 should have been our year. The 2009 class, one of our best under Miles, were juniors and 2010 qnd 2011 were talented. Miles cost us the NC that year because he wouldn't hire a permanent replacement for Krags as OC.
