Why didn't LSU offer OT Bailey Granier South Lafourche?

Do you really think he chose Vandy over FSU and Alabama?

Those weren't "commitable" offers.

Highly unlikely, but it could happen if he cares about academics more than athletics I suppose.

All I can tell you is the site says Bama and Fla State offered.
Does Fournette have a commitable offer from LSU?
The site says we offered?

Understood. I would recommend going back to the days of Forrest Davis' magazine. Life was simpler, then.

If those schools offered and he still committed to Vanderbilt, I doubt an LSU offer would have mattered.

Nah, we've got higher guys on our board. We would have to miss on a few for him to get one.

These sites can be edited by hundreds of different mods/scouts. Someone from the Memphis Rivals page can hear from Granier that FSU offered, and they can go edit it on his page.

Doesn't really mean a thing.

To the point, obviously they don't think he is a take this year!

I watched him play this year a couple of games. When he locks on he pushes people. He lacks speed and quickness. He is not on a top SEC level.

Size is one thing
Playing against speedy SEC defenders and controlling that edge demands athletic oline.
I can promise you LSU evaluated him as much as any other school and did not offer.

Now, is he that much different than a Josh Williford who LSU offered and Bama didn't.
Who knows?

The staff developed Williford into a solid starter, I'm sure they could do the same with Granier

Bama offered

They "offered" Jermaine Roberts, Mattrell McGraw & Kenny Young too but I don't think any are commitable. All were offered early (before LSU would offer if they were going to do so). Looks like they were interested earlier. Bama sends out letters to kids they'll never see and they do it very early in the process. That way it looks like they are recruiting the kids before everyone else. They do the same with offers to OOS recruits.

Fla State offered

FSU "offered" 242 kids in 2014 compared to LSU's 118 & Bama's 177. They always offer a bunch of Out-of-state kids they can't sign & they do it early in the process. If the kid really blows up, they were one of the first to show him love. If the kid doesn't develop, they can tell him to look elsewhere without ruining their reputation with many high school coaches.

Under Hugh Freeze, Ole Miss has gone the FSU route. They've "offered" 252 kids for 2014.

FSU already has 89 offers out for 2015. Ole Miss has 75 out. LSU has 31 2015 offers out.

Can't believe everything you read. Unfortunately, the kids can't either.

2014 FSU offers
2014 Alabama offers
2014 Ole Miss offers
2014 LSU offers

Every time i see the name Bailey Granier, I read it as Brittney Griner. Maybe Les Miles does too and thats why we didnt offer?
