Deer in our backyard

How often do you see one like this? Yesterday was the first day we've ever seen him. I'd already been out with him before letting the wife go out.

Typically deer in these videos attack or hump the people. So, it was a little of a let down but cool none the less...

that's really cool. i've got a video somewhere of mack the knife jr #1 feeding a young 7 pt with about 10 feet between them.

Question... If the deer had started humping or attacking, would you've just kept recording or intervened? Personally, I'd be conflicted. Footage like that is solid gold.

If those are his first set of horns, which it looks like they are, that could be a pretty decent buck in the future.

on a more serious note, great vid. If he is coming up like that now I would figure he will continue to until somebody shoots him.

That's what I was thinking...then he said he'd "already been out with him"- which I wasn't sure what he meant- but took it to mean an encounter.

Couple of them in the yard every morning, sometimes laying down but will move quickly if anyone gets within 30-40 yards.
