There's one in each whole chicken you buy.

Would think a deli. Don't know any specific ones. I know where to go in Chalmette and Mandeville. Sorry.

Making soup or is it bait?

My Mom asked me to look. 99% sure it's for cooking. I just knew people used them as bait too.

Where are the go-to places in Mandeville/Chalmette. I'm driving through that area when I go up to meet her.

Thanks. I've called around a few grocery stores down here and they seemed oblivious.

Saia's on Florida. They'll have everything you need for an awesome soup.

I called the Hong Kong Market and they didn't have them.

LSUintheNW- Called the BreauxMart in Metry and they said they have hearts and gizzards. Thanks for all of your help.

Hong Kong Market had them on Saturday. Customer service isn't their strong point. Might be worth a trip.

Cool, I am surprised I didn't think of that one. I know a butcher there, lives in da parish.

Tell momma to put some turkey necks in there.

the hearts are long gone by the time a processed chicken gets to a supermarket. Look for a processing plant and buy a barrel of organs and parts. Of course the smell will haunt your dreams for years.
