Brew-Bachers on Bluebonnet makes some good catfish and onion rings, much better than Sammy's. OTOH, their sandwiches and hamburger fail to impress; the burger's actually pretty awful.

Crawfords Two does a great job but I'm going to step out here and tell you the best fried catfish is Mike Anderson's ACE whole catfish. I much prefer a whole over filets and the 1.5 lb they serve is the best thing on their menu.
ACE is all you can eat. They bring you one at a time.
Say what you want about them and I won't argue much but this is by far a great item to get.
