I'm not saying you are wrong, but why do you think this?

The area is not that talent rich and they don't have the Nike money that Oregon has.

USC will always be the glory team of that conference.

UW seems to be middle-tier of that conference at best.

I agree that he seems about as loyal as they come, but it's USC.

They have twice the D1 talent Oregon has, or more. Oregon is a state full of white people. Washington has TONS of rich alums who will give what the team needs. They have great facilities and the tradition and past winning history they can rah rah about.

It's been slow going with Sark, slower than I thought, but they are on their way imo.

In the very recent past, yes, but more like a high school team. That doesn't mean they'll stay there forever. They more than likely finish third in the north this year, depending upon the Beavers. When it comes to winning ways they are probably the second best program in the conference.

Got damn I hate backing them up.

Before Willingham came in, UW had the best winning % in the Pac-10 for the previous 30 years (yes, ahead of USC, UCLA, etc.). I think it was 26 years straight without a losing record. People forget what kind of a program UW is due to the incompetency over the last decade.

I'm skeptical, but if he does Udub fans won't care. They'll immediately get a coach who would stay forever and would bleed purple and gold.

If he leaves, it would either be Mora or Wilcox and UW fans would be elated with either of those.

You have NFL coaches that would take the USC job, so why would they even consider Fitz. He is like #20 in coaches USC would entertain at college level. Seriously, USC has to go big with this hire.

Is this becoming the "obligatory head coach candidate"?

Not to hijack this thread but several talking heads, M&M early this morning started the dialogue, have said that one of LK's biggest problems was that he treated everyone like trash & the boosters came to dispise him, jumping his butt every chance they got when things started going down hill. Anyone know any specifics?
