If LSU beats Bama, does that mean SEC-less BCS title game?
Posted by Jesus Prejean on 9/29/13 at 10:28 pm00
Undefeated Stanford/ Oregon winner
vs.
Undefeated Ohio St
Or
Undefeated Clemson (who beat Georgia, and LSU last year)/Florida St (who will have beaten Florida) winner
I don't see how an SEC team gets in this year unless it's undefeated Bama

I see an undefeated Bama or a one loss Georgia if those the SEC champions. Georgia would get in based on their schedule, and they've scored boatloads which makes them an "attractive" team for the voters.

maybe, maybe not. funny how these things seem to work themselves out almost every yr.

its college football who knows.
No one would be more deserving than LSU though, but being undefeated is more important than playing a good schedule

Georgia would not jump an undefeated Clemson (who will have beaten Georgia and South Carolina) or an undefeated Fla St (who will have beaten Clemson and Florida)

I can see OSU and Oregon finishing undefeated this year. I think both of those teams are better than any SEC team right now.

good or bad,
I think SEC does not play in the NCG this year

This very much looks like a non-SEC MNCG. I don't see consistent play from Bama I expect they lose 1 Ito GA in the SECCG if to no one else. No way tOSU, Clem, and winner of OR/Stan gets passed by a 1 loss SEC.

We're really getting ahead of ourselves here, year after year teams start off smoking and almost always lose to someone no one would ever expect.

guys just let it play you still have a bunch of games left, and lots of undefeated teams. hell who knows UCLA could knock off both Stanford and Oregon, then lose Washington, who lost to Stanford. We win out, and tOSU losses to Michigan, who lost to Nebraska. Clemson loses to USCe, and beat FSU.
Chill out and let the season play out. LSU isn't dead yet.

If there is a one loss SEC team, they're getting in over an undefeated Ohio State.

If LSU's not in the title game, I couldn't care less that the SEC is left out.

Sort of with you on that one. Won't be much interest for me.

1-loss LSU with wins over Bama @ Bama, aTm, Florida, OM, and prob revenge game against UGA in the SECCG has a very good shot at going to the NCG.
If history has taught us anything, it's that there are rarely undefeated teams standing at the end. We are still in good shape, but our margin for error is razor thin.

IF LSU wins out and defeats UGA/USC in the SEC title game-LSU will play for the NC no matter who is undefeated!!! Book it!!!!

Given the SEC has basically owned the BCS era, I'd be interested to see how they leave out an SEC team.
