Anyone frequent this place? I've grown very fond of it lately - good food very decent pricing.

The filet sandwich is a great deal for lunch.

Ate there last week. For dinner.

Overstuffed filet poboy is up to $9.95 now - still a deal, but not as good as it once was.

I like their steak sandwiches for lunch but wouldn't go there for dinner

In the latter part of the 90s, this was a family staple. I remember when the most expensive item was 9.99.

I hit it every blue moon when I visit my old metairie stomping grounds. I still love it.

I eat there pretty regularly.

Prices are still very good for a steak place.

I get the dippin bread and sirloin every time.

It's good and cheap. The shrimp and dipping bread are a must have.

This.
I think one night a week they still offer half off bottles of wine and maybe a steak special price.
Even with paying regular price, I will take the food and value over Outback and the other boring steakhouse chains.

What do (well did) you find terrible about it back then?

Everything I've ever had from there is pretty solid. The steaks come out the right temp, the potatoes are good. And several of their apps are tasty as well. It's certainly not the best steak, but at it's price point, it is very far from terrible.

I'm a crazy johnnies fan. If I'm not having pho for lunch the steak sandwich is always an option.

I really want to hear what is "terrible" about their product.

I believe it's generally accepted as fact that Crazy Johnnies uses meat tenderizers.

And?

It's still not a "terrible" product.

Prayers sent.

I'm not eating a chemically covered piece of meat because it's not "terrible".
