Of the prospects that are considered which ones could be moved to tackle spot?

GW3
Godchaux
McDowell
Clark

Last year seems that we went for more tackle size guys than DE size.

Willis, Godchaux and McDowell could all be DTs in college.

Willis is already like 275 though, isnt he?

Look out for Travonte Valentine. He's currently committed to Miami, but if he comes down for an OV we could flip him.

A freak DE would be nice. Tashawn Bower or Frank Herron could be those guys. I like Hunter and Allen, but they aren't all around every down type DE's like Mingo and Montgomery.

I'm usually not a big juco guy, but if there is a good chance that both Ego & Freak are going pro, then we need to go get a top juco DT. Heck - even if only one of those leave, we're still thin even if QT steps up.

And yes, I know Gilmore & Bain & Lacoture are there, but I think a top 3 juco DT would start over any of those 3.

From what I saw yesterday this is a joke...both were blocked contiually. Johnson spends more time with his back to a play than facing it. Ferguson is pretty good at shedding blockers but lacks the speed to get to the ball carrier. Spends too much time waiting for the runner to come to him.

I'd take Carter but he's overrated. Have seen him play twice this year and he was a nonfactor both times. Huge potential but he's not that much better or different than Micheal Patterson from our class last year. Again I'd take him in a minute because there's no such thing as too much talent but he's no savior or guarantee. All ceiling with that kid which also means lots of bust potential. I'd take 3 of the 4 we'll take over him.

I like Herron playing inside 3 technique same for GW3. I think they both can provide excellent gap penetration. Hunter and Allen will be a really good combo next year at DE, not sure if Rasco will go pro. It would be awesome if LSU could flip Chad Thomas, he would make an immediate impact.

Let's just hope all these guys get better and pan out at LSU. Otherwise the rankings and talent do not help LSU. I know, stating the obvious.

Need to develop the guys who are on the team now and stop depending on 2014 freshmen to make an impact. 2012/2013 filled with Dline and LBs who are not even seeing the field. Grow and develop and not hope and pray for instant impact from freshmen.

Chad Thomas>Lorenzo Carter, but unfortunately I think Thomas' teammates being committed to The U as well will keep him there.
