Our offense played lights out. Any time your running game gets shut down and your offense continues to produce, you've got something really, really special.

Our defense was very unimpressive, but I still believe that they have upside and can improve. If there's a team that can, we can. Our coaching staff is absolutely top notch.

Yesterday I was hard on the refs unnecessarily. They called a pretty even game, but in the heat of the moment, seeing the late PIs was tough. I still disagree with them calling the game loose, but they did call it fair. I can't complain on that.

Overall, we fought like hell, looked solid and are a threat to any team we play. If our team can develop the killer instinct it's had in past years on defense, we'll be great. I understand what Chavis was going for yesterday; he knows it's a young D and it doesn't have the raw talent and playmaking ability it's had in the past, so he's played soft and tried to keep everything in front of them. I think he'll decide to go on the attack more as the season goes on. I hope he does.

Either way, I have very few complaints. The team did everything it could, with everyone doing the best they could on playcalling, execution and planning. It's tough, but we'll get past it and have a great year.

The two stupidest things I've seen the rantards bitch about in this defeat are #1 OBJ "lost" the game for us & #2 the refs cost us the game. OBJ fumbled a punt & it resulted in a td for UGA. Murray was intercepted & that led to a TD for us so the games 2 turnovers are a wash. The D not stopping UGA all 2nd half had more to do with the loss than OBJ's fumble. And sure there were some no calls by the refs, especially pass interference calls but the game was called the same for both teams, LSU got away with some very blatant PI's in the game that weren't called.
LSU put up 40+ points on a top ten team on the road & lost by 3 because our D couldn't make a stop when we got the lead with less than 4 minutes to go. End of story

I was pretty atrocious yesterday. It's the least I can do.

Bottom line we ain't going no where this year. Wasting a great O this year because Defense was taken for granted. Bet Chavis wishes he had Spring and Fall camp back.

We're still a top ten team, and at worst we'll make a respectable bowl.

I've decided to just enjoy the fighting spirit of the team, the way they give it everything they have and to let the chips fall where they may.

I'm still proud to be a tiger.

They could see it coming, and the play calling showed it. What was your solution? Magically get better, experienced players?

We're a very, very good team and we can win out.

game went about how i thought it would.

taking young defense on the road to face a top 10 team and senior qb had me concerned.

we fought like hell though and had a chance to win it in the end.

i think we will get better. really a shame this offense couldn't have been paired with our defense last year.

My solution is to find a safety and a middle linebacker out of 84 players there now. If that don't work go to the student body and have try outs for these positions

I don't think anyone could have predicted the massive exodus of Juniors from our D.

I do have to wonder if any of those guys are wishing the had hung around for another year after seeing our offense. If we had kept 4 or 5 of them on D, we would likely be unstoppable.

The offense definitely fought hard. I'm not so sure about the defense.

I believe the exodus was related to the shite performance in the BCS game and the shite end to the Alabama game last year. Also recruiting after the BCS fiasco was not at normal LSU recruiting. The poor performance at the BCS championship was more costly than many believe!

Yes and to wait to the middle of the season to realize that the defense can't handle Chavis system and have to simplify it is unexcusable and total bull shite

The prevent D isn't a terrible plan, but our guys are afraid to make mistakes, so they do everything they can to keep everything in front of them.
