Do top shelf DB's see this performance as an opportunity to play early, that is, help recruiting, or do they think If I go to LSU I may not get the best DB coaching.

I ask this because an awful lot of posters are blaming the DB staff.

Just because we're having a down year on defense doesn't mean we're still not LSU. It happens. We will still produce top NFL talent... I think

Doesn't matter one bit. If LSU's dbs are bad, the high school kid thinks its b/c they aren't there. If they are good, they think they will be just as good if they go there.

I'm sorry, I should have realized you can't ask a reasonsable question to such a collection of mindless airheads.

Realized I didn't answer. I don't think it will hurt us recruiting wise.

You think Ed Paris, Tony Brown, Hootie Jones, John Battle, etc. think they won't ball out early and often if they come to LSU just because we have one somewhat down year? No.

Bottom line our only DBs on the roster on our usual DBU level are too young to be counted on right now, save Tre White. Guys like Collins, mills, Martin, Eugene, etc. just don't have it.

But, White, Robinson, Jefferson, Corey Thompson, an these 2014 guys have it IMO. They will restore the order

The point being made tonight on the Post Game show is that our Def backfield have no leadership in calling the game. Guys are having problems lining up in coverage and a lot of busted covers are occurring. The Safeties are lost and they should be calling this. Similar things are happening at LB but mostly the Lb's are just getting blocked and cannot blitz effectively.

Disagree

I really think kids will see it as an opportunity to step on the field right away.

No it's a dumb question that has no place here.
Calling people here names doesn't make the question suck any less......

We need a stellar safety to QB our defense. So, who's the best candidate for this role?

may i say a few things. I sure everyone knows that you dont need 5 stars DB's to be effective on defense. the front seven is what really make a team and is what's lacking right now with LSU. Chief is afraid to blitz bc i think he simply just doesn't trust our secondary. This happens on any level of football. NFL and college. front seven cant put pressure, then no blitz. Football 101
