Staying in Prairieville. Talked to Omar the other day and he's working on picking down a deal with the failed bakery next to Tommy's fish house. I think it'll help him grow more. He could sure use the extra space and I think that location will give him more exposure. The current place is tucked back in the shopping center. He'll, I've been living off of 42 and Jefferson for 3 years and had only been eating his pizza for 1.

I've heard the same thing from him.

Good location for people to pickup pizza for dinner on the way home from work coming from BR.

I love his pizza.

This sucks for me, almost twice as far away. Guess I'll learn to deal with it. Will be great for him to have a little more room Im sure.

Romas is good but I prefer Palios, Pizza Guru, or Pizza Joker.

I thought that became the fish market for Tommy's?

It is sure not an empty building. I think you are right about the seafood market. For what it's worth, I don't think that parking lot could handle two restaurants operating there.

No the market is in the back of the building the restaurant. The bakery is owned by them but empty. A great place for Roma if you ask me.

Good point on this. Friday night during lent and it's a cluster there. Interested to see what effect it has on the parking.

Tommy's thought about using the building to house a catering operation but I don't think it ever happened. Been sitting empty for a while.

Nothing to really add here, but I love Omar and I love his pizzas, so I'm excited!

I hope that location works out for him and he gets the much needed exposure.

Glad there will finally be a reason for me to have my car in the parking lot again.

Talked to Omar tonight. He said they are moving the week before Thanksgiving. Not sure how many days that means, but somewhere around the end of the month he should be relocated. The new spot will have 40+ seats for dining. I'm excited for him. I think moving from the old Hoagie and Deaux's location will only help him. He said people still come in and ask if he is the H&D owner or if it's the same place.
