Well, we don't know what you currently have, what you hunt, or your budget, so...

My vote is a new Fox D grade from CSMC...

If you are thinking along these lines then you should get the 1187.

Xtreme A400, because my 115 pound wife shoots 3in # 4's (nitro mags) out the bottum of a pirogue squirrel hunting. Recoil system is unreal.

Because that Beretta will be shooting ducks when that 1187 is leaned up in a corner.

BTW, I wouldn't pay 1750 for the Beretta either.

Weight, recoil reduction, 1187 won't shoot 3.5s.

I'd say the Beretta is more reliable but it might fall on def ears.

Benelli fan myself however.

I think the reliability is about even between them from what I've seen. Neither one likes being dirty.

Both are very easy on the shoulder

I think it's a better debate if you're discussing 1100 vs beretta though. The beretta is way nicer than the 1187 IMO

A Benelli just shot a box after being pulled out of the mud.

Inertia > gas...IMO

The new A5 has the same guts as the SBE2. Beautiful gun, $1450 in 3.5" camo
