I was watching this live and I was impressed by his magnanimity then. This suggests that his behavior wasn't just PR or self preservation.

He´s matured on the playing field as well. Good for him.

Everybody knows I´m no CRon fan, but credit where credit is due.

You are missing out.

He is the reason I enjoy watching Madrid. Then, I became captivated by Ozil as well. Isco is filling the void nicely though. I want to see more of Bale's 90th minute magic.

No, I don´t think I am. Really.

I am beginning to like him, as I see him being more generous, and conscious of his counterparts.

I´ve always respected his capability.

I think it´s his maturation. I see him as less petulant, but I still hate seeing him dive so much.

This.

I've had some intense debates about this with other players, but I simply don't agree with the point that subterfuge and "gamesmanship" are part of the sport. You can also make the argument that it will slow the game down, but U.S. fans will never jump on board whole-heartedly until the "Eurosissy" image is vanquished.

I play, so I know how much seemingly minimal amounts of contact can hurt, or affect your balance and timing at game speed(sometimes necessitating that you go down to save the play in the event the illegal contact affects the play), but I still believe some sort of replay for major fouls before a card is given, or a system of post-game fines for obvious dives (like the NBA) would go a long way.

MLS gives fines for diving and reviews them after the fact, which makes them pretty progressive as far as the soccer world is concerned.
