I'm of the ilk that believes Dorsey just didn't have the right system to thrive so I'd definitely take him.

I also believe him being forced to play NT at KC hurt his career.

What's crazy is that when he finally became a FA and could pick any team/system, he went to another 3-4 team in SF.

I blame Dorsey's career on Auburn.

Ellis did alright his first few seasons.

but after 2010, obviously not.

Picking an interior D-lineman in the first round usually doesn't turn out well. They don't ever put up the numbers most fans expect.

but on the flip side, I think we got a potential steal in Hicks last year in the third round. He's been a big part of the reason the D-line has gotten to the QB so far this season.

Ryan Clady. Dear god, we would almost be a shoe in for the Super Bowl if we had him protecting Brees' blindside.

In hindsight, he would be the one.

Ellis is retired and Dorsey is with Denver. Easily Dorsey, although he hasn't been the same since the hack job he received at Auburn.

Ellis. I would not change a thing with that team that got us to the SB and won it, especially the starters. Ellis played very good all that season.

The problem was that he played DE at Kansas City not NT.

Ellis had 173 tackles in his whole career. Dorsey had 169 tackles in his first 3 seasons.

Ellis has more sacks, but he got to play his natural DT position.
