"According to ESPN Stats & Information, no team has sacked or put opposing quarterbacks under duress more than the Dolphins this year (35 percent of opponent drop-backs). The Saints rank sixth in the NFL at 29.5 percent."

I know we were trying to find these numbers the other day.

We also blitzed very little Sunday(7 times by Holder's count and 8 by Triplett's count).

It's amazing how much pressure we are getting without blitzing much.

I don't know if we should credit Ryan more for the schemes or the talent of our players(or some combination more likely) but this is clearly a defense that is playing as a unit and fitting into Ryan's scheme very well.

I said this in a previous post, but I think it's the perfect storm of us striking some defensive gold the last couple of drafts (including UDFA's) especially on the D-line+KV, and RR putting players in position to do what they do best.

edt: The tackling has been exceptional as well which means fewer big plays and teams having to sustain drives to score.

Amazing what a little pressure and solid tackling can do. With the rule changes you will likely never see truly dominant defenses anymore. However the Giants won two superbowls doing what we are doing now.

There's a no Wake zone in the dome this Monday. That should make you feel better.

We ran it, what, 3 or 4 times in the first half last week? I bet we run it more than that on our first drive this week to counter their front seven.
