What was the original rationale behind this? With limits in place, why do they limit shots. Was it to prevent over the limit kills,or cripples? Why should WLF limit how many times I can shoot if I follow the bag limits. Just wondering if anyone knows

to make you shoot better. If you cant hit it in 3 shots, then the bird deserves to live.

ETA: I dont really know.

Do you think the incidents of cripples would increase if there was no limit on shots?

I should have known it was political. With big ducks its not really an issue. But during teal season , the whole hunt can be made in 1 flock coming into the decoys. Monday I had a group of about 50 come into the spread. I drop three and still had half the flock at close range. Would have loved the extra shots. I am not a speed loader. No others came in and we were left short of limits. Thanks for the link.

Do they make plugs for 12 gauge?

Looking around on line, the only plugs I'm finding look like they must be for 6 ga., maybe 8 gauge at the minimum...
