There is still plenty of time for these executives to change their minds, but it seems like Mettenberger has a pretty decisive advantage at the moment.

Mett's the single reason why I think we're going to win this game. He's the better QB right now, without a doubt.

I am just hoping he can control his emotions to help him this week not start pressing.

Clearly. Mett has the size and arm. Murray is a Colt McCoy 2.0

I liked the one who said he wouldn't take either of them.

Quite honestly, for the pros, I wouldn't either. AM has proven to have a choke factor, and the sample size is too small for ZM to trust. But if you held a gun to my head and say pick one, it's ZM, easily.

Of course you would. You are the quintessential negatiger. If LSU had the #1 recruiting class you would bitch about the guys they didn't get.

True, but theyre probably not talking about 1st rounders. I could see Mett being a 3-4 round pick, which would be great for value for the possible upside.

There's absolutely no comparison regarding physical tools. Mett just needed to understand the position, which finally seems to be working.

I imagine we'll see a few balls sail on Mett early on, then he'll settle down. Wouldn't be surprised if the first play was the quick wide receiver pass.

I thought the same thing. I love Mett, but he shouldn't be in the same sentence as the word "athletic"

I am not a fan of Mett as a high draft pick because it appears both IQ and athletic ability is limited. A smart QB can overcome lack of athleticism. An athletic QB can survive less than impressive brain power. Lack both? Could be proven wrong. we'll see ....

...but seriously, some people here are talking Heisman. Methamphetamine = Heisman? I guess it has been so long since LSU had a quarterback that the fans think anyone who can throw a ball must be one.

sorry, but this…

Mett's footwork has improved considerably, and is the single biggest factor in his improvement IMO. He might have been a statue last year, but so far this year he's shown he can move in the pocket and has made some pretty athletic plays avoiding the rush and delivering a nice throw on target.
