Is starting a number 1 QB with his favorite receiver primarily a good thing?

How about starting a number 1 running back with a number 1 receiver from the same team?

Is either beneficial in the long term?

I start Stafford, Calvin, & Bell/Bush... its worked out very nice so far. Actually considered starting both Bell & Bush this weekend, but not sure I want to totally go all-in on Detroit.....especially against the Bears.

This statistically makes your team more consistent

I would say yes if it's a good pass happy team. I had Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, and Dallas Clark one year and dominated

Peyton and DT88 have been stellar for me thus far. Only a handful of combos I would go after in the league, off the top of my head:

PM/DT
Ryan/Julio
Stafford/Mega

and maybe ARod/Cobb or Nelson

Other than that, I'd stay away.

Doesn't always mean good. You can consistently score 80 per week

In one of my leagues I have Rogers/Nelson and I love it. 12 points per TD.
