After the game against auburn it seems as though les miles decided to use hill as a feature back unlike the past where we used a stable.

This seems as though it works better because it gives the rb a chance to get it a rhythm.

Also it looks as though we have a special talent in Hill! It seems as though everytime he gets the ball he gets to the second level and has the ability to take it all the way.

Hard to complain when the man has 5 touchdowns in 2 games (and almost a sixth when he got tackled at the 1 after a 54 yard run) just hope he doesn't get worn out through our tough schedule.

Magee also is a good accent to with his speed and ability to make it to the outside.

Hot hand method over the platoon method.

Hot Hand allows a RB who has gotten into rhythm stay in rhythm. Assumes that he will seemingly loose it when tired.

we use a feature back when we have someone that earns the reps over other guys like what hill is doing.

Otherwise we use a heavy rotation.

Who is complaining?

He is young. He will be fine.

What the hell does this even mean?

This. LSU will feature a guy if he's producing, and rotate if not. If a guy shows up big during rotation, he gets more carries, that's why I'm not counting a healthy Hilliard out just yet.

Just hope Miles doesn't shut down Magee for an extended period because of that fumble. A fumble is debilitating to be sure, but one instance is not worth benching our second best running back.

i think this speaks more to the talent of Hill.

In the past we had several running backs who had a single skill so we just traded them all in... This year Hill has the whole package, not to mention that the rest of our RBs, while good, are not as spectacular as Hill has been.

Hill was on a roll and after Clemson game last year it was wise for Miles to continue with him

Magee fumbled so that's not a way to continue to get playing time on a wet surface

Blue looked good in the second half and will probably slide into #2 position

Hilliard is a shell of his freshman year - not sure what happened but would love to see the 2011 version break out

Brazil or Beckham will continue to get that occasional misdirection play

Hill's becoming the feature back because he's separating himself from the others and producing every time he touches the ball. Hard to keep somebody like that on the bench. In the past we've had several backs that excell at different things, so the situation/play call determined who was in the game. This year we have a complete back in Hill that can do it all. Still nice to have the others to spell him and keep him fresh, but he's the go to guy when we need it.
