Manny Machado has torn patellar ligament only

Good for him.

They wheeled him outa there like he'd been hit in the knee with a shotgun though.

Did they aircast it like it was a compound fracture or something? I just saw the stretcher but it did like he took shrapnel the way they carted him off. Lucky for him. Should be ok.

Yeah

Now that I think about it though, Patrick Robinson tore his patella a few weeks ago and they put him in an air cast also. So I guess thats just protocol

Well they weren't really sure what he did at the time of the injury.... It looked the part of broken leg/ACL/MCL

It means that his patella (knee cap) dislocated. Probably reduced it back and placed knee straight in immobilizer /cast to keep in place
