Interactive Map
If Antarctica looked like this
North America would look like this
A lot of Bammers would have beach-front property. Houston would be like New York Island.

Luckily the opposite is happening right now.

Getting rid of Florida would be nice.

Actually, from the looks of that map, Houston would be underwater.
Learn your geography.

My land just quadrupled in value! Ocean front property bitches!
Cool map btw.

i think that is complete bullshite......so you know how much water would be needed to raise the pacific by an inch.....much less several hundred feet to flood mainlands.

I better get to work evolving myself some gills and webbed fingers.

Yeah, those stupid scientist and their crazy math equations. They don't know shite about mass and volume. Idiots.
Posted on 9/24/13 at 11:40 am to Pectus
So we should all move to Pine Bluff?
Posted on 9/24/13 at 11:40 am to Pectus
Shitload of people in S Louisiana would need to learn how to swim. We all saw what happened in NOLA with Katrina.

Wonderful! I'd live about ten miles from the beach. I could make one of those dinosaur miniature golf courses and a go cart track and make a fortune. Maybe a snow cone stand too.

Look at all that available beachfront property in Anatartica.

Won't be the first time the Gulf Coast has been underwater.

It's all about knowing the amount of water trapped in continental ice sheets and alpine glaciers. We know their coverage and thickness. All you would have to do is take the 2 Antarctic ice sheets, the Greenland ice sheet, and all the alpine glaciers and figure how much water each contains. Then, spread it out over the ocean and see how much sea level rises in different parts of the globe.
This process occurring over ten thousand to hundred thousand years is what makes the Mississippi have its birdfoot delta, have different paths in the past, and basically build the entire part of Louisiana we are on today.

I don't think you understand how much ice Antarctica actually consists of.
Posted on 9/24/13 at 11:44 am to Pectus
yea but logically looking at how big the pacific ocean is, it would be very difficult to believe the ammount of ice on the planet will rise 213'
Posted on 9/24/13 at 11:45 am to CarRamrod
Glass of water with ice, ice melts it doesn't over flow the top of glass...boom mindblown
if all the rivers continue dumping water into the oceans will they eventually rise?
