I have a suggestion for those at the games to beat traffic- stay to the end!

If you wait until the end of the game you will have no traffic to deal with.
Seriously I remember back in the 80's, I think it was 1985 I was at the Kentucky game as a student. It rained the entire game and the score was 0-0 well into the 4th quarter. 2/3 of the stadium was gone by the time we finally scored the go ahead field goal. The last td was a pic 6 by Michael Brooks at the very end. I was surprised at how much noise was made by less than 30k fans when that happened. So this isn't anything new, I'm afraid. I do think there were less than 2/3 left by the end of Saturday's game though.
:edit: Come to think of it I'm not sure it was even raining, may have been just cold. Anyone else remember that game?

bullshite. I was told on here that such a thing would have never happened in the great long gone glory days of Tiger Stadium, before TAF priced all the real hardscrabble blue collar die hards out of their tickets.

I always wait until the game ends and always find the traffic easier. Why spend an hour in traffic, inch by inch, when you get home just as quick leaving at the end?

There wasn't anyone on the streets towards the middle of the 4th when I left. But then again 70% of the student section was home by halftime. So it makes sense.

and for games that people actually stay for, spend another hour tailgating and visiting with friends after the game (as long as you have a DD), then when traffic dies down, get on the road

I usually tailgate another hour or so after the game anyways.

Give it a fricking rest already. Christ.

quote:Nope, ranting- this is the RANT. If you read my entire post (not too long) you will see that I was saying that back in the vaunted 80's LSU fans did the same thing. But actually it wasn't cold and I'm not sure it was raining. I was there, but don't remember what the elements were but the score was 0-0 against an SEC team and the stadium was more than half empty before we scored the go ahead f.g. so this isn't anything new. And don't call me Christ. I aspire to His greatness but obviously fall a little short.
Give it a fricking rest already. Christ.

1) Tell us your situation. 2) Realize that thousands have a different situation. 3) Your solution is poor.

Tru dat OP
I stay till the end of every game. Its my own personal dedication. My brother and I dont leave our aisle until the clock reads 0:00
And I never have to sit in traffic sans the one game per year everyone stays till the end

The "Cheesers" have taken over. Run for the Hills. (Or the Indian Mounds) They don't really care about LSU football. It's just something to do on a Saturday Night.(Or afternoon. ) Don't look these cretins straight in the eyes. You'll turn to stone! Thanks Joe/TAF.

"Staying late to beat traffic" is the new "leaving early to beat traffic"

SHHHH that is my secret and about 100 other fans

quote:. Your ability to detect sarcasm and respond appropriately is even poorer. Actually as some have stated here if your goal is to truly beat traffic and most folks are leaving at halftime then my solution is really quite feasible.
