yea, she was introduced as the closing shot of the last season finale.
The season is supposed to be a lot of flashbacks showing how they almost met so many times.
I'm excited for it.
ETA: she kinda looks like a brunette Lilly imo, kinda

I only started watching this show about a year ago thanks to Netflix, but I'm all caught up. I don't resent it the way many of you on this board do, so I'm excited to see the final season and how they bring everything together.

Agreed. It still brings the laughs most weeks. Better than average TV for sure.

It's my theory that he does. I think the mother is dead. Which is why he's telling the story. There's also a speech he gave last season about wanting the extra 45 days with her. That was the biggest thing. But we shall see. The writers have hinted at a death this season.

This for sure. Although I will agree that the Seasons 1-5 were so much better than 6-8. even though the newer seasons would have a few good episodes here & there, it just felt dragged on. But I am excited for it tonight.

I don't think the mother dies. They were laughing at the college reunion when Ted asked "where's my wife?" Don't think they would laugh if she were dead, even though they were high on sandwiches.

I didnt watch a bunch of last seasons. the first few were great. last few havent. I will watch to see what happens but not super excited for this
