Was not able to get to NOLA for the game. If I'm able to in the future would be proud to visit.

Was thinking about your brother. Is he still in the Army. Back on US soil or deployed again? Wherever he is, I hope he is OK.

Watch out for 2016 OL Willie Allen from Curtis. He is 6-6 245 with a huge wingspan.

I think the sharpening from the first two games is going to be the difference for Curtis. STA will probably be the national champs and Curtis still made it respectable. They executed against ESJ best. This week they will be hungry.

STA just lost to Miramar. BTW (Miami) will likely be National champs.

I think they go to 2-2. More importantly next year Curtis will be in a big downfall of talent in every sport. We'll see how they make their schedule this time...

Here's the begining of NOLA.com outlook on this game

Karr-Curtis matchup a clash of the titans, styles

With an unofficial Triology Championship on the line and a statewide television audience looking on, Karr linebacker Quanta Moore places Thursday night’s meeting against Curtis on equal footing as those being played three months from now on the 15th and final week of the season.

Karr Coach Nathaniel Jones begs to differ with his stellar senior.

“If you do win this and you don’t win a state championship, then this means nothing,’’ Jones said, trying to lend perspective to this Clash of the Titans II, which pairs two reigning state champions that also carry top rankings in their respective state polls.

Karr, 2-0, is top-ranked in Class 4A and the highest nationally-ranked team from Louisiana with rankings of No. 5, 7 and 18 respectively from MaxPreps.com, RivalsHigh100 and USA Today.

The Cougars, who were off last week, also ride a 16-game winning streak that dates to last year’s 14-0 state championship season and includes a 33-24 come-from-behind victory against St. Augustine two weeks ago which kicked off the three-game round-robin pairings of Curtis, Karr and St. Aug.

Curtis, 2-1, was a consensus national champion last season and remains top-ranked in Class 3A, despite having a 29-game winning streak broken two weeks ago by another nationally-ranked opponent in St. Thomas Aquinas of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Despite that 27-13 loss to Aquinas, the Patriots are ranked No. 20, 31 and 41 respectively by MaxPreps.com, USA Today and Rivals.

Both teams also are top-ranked among New Orleans Metro area large and small schools by NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., Thursday at Behrman Stadium, with Fox Sports New Orleans Plus televising the game live as part of the New Orleans Saints/Louisiana High School Athletic Association Game of the Week series.

Curtis and St. Augustine complete the series next week with an Oct. 4 meeting at Tad Gormley Stadium, although a Karr victory would decide the Triology Championship.

“By (Curtis) being former national champions and us having a bullseye on our chest . . . this is going to be the biggest game of the season with them being a powerhouse and us being a powerhouse,’’ Moore said.

Curtis is taking a bit more subdued approach befitting a 25-time state champion that is playing its third nationally-ranked opponent in four games.

“We’re preparing for this game like we do for every other game,’’ Curtis cornerback Terrence Alexander, who returned a kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown in last Friday’s 39-7 victory against East St. John. “We’re playing another very hard game against another hard team. ...

all depends on how disciplined Karr is going to be vs the veer

athletically they have all the talent to give Curtis fits like the Florida team did.

But it will come down to coaching & special teams. I like Curtis by a TD
