I'm in the market for a new surround sound system for my living room. I don't need anything big or fancy, just something that'll play better sound than my tv for movies.

A major reason I'm getting a new one is because my new iPhone doesn't connect to the one I have right now because they changed the adapters(first world problems).

Any recommendations? I really don't have a price range, though a good value is appreciated. I'm just kind of exploring my options at the moment.

Thanks in advance

If u want something decent and cheap Polk has a home theatre in a box with no receiver that sounds decent. Best for the price would be a Klipsch quintet system with a yamaha 375 receiver and a klipsch 350 8 inch sub. Would run u about 1200. If u want to run music wifi to your receiver from I phone get a 675 instead of a 375.

Buy an adapter for your iPhone. It's $30 at most and they make every adapter imaginable.

There's no reason to replace your surround sound because of your phone.

I LOVE my Bose surround sound bar. I'm technology-challenged, and didn't want to go through the trouble of setting up a full surround sound system. Mimics surround sound very well. When you first set it up, you use a sensor and sit in several different viewing locations, and it will customize the surround sound to your viewing environment. Cranks up too if you want to bust some ear drums.
