These two creatures could never survive in the others habitat, but assuming that they could I'll take the gator. Squid has a really soft body. Gator has armor. Gator would just chomp through the tentacles.

The more I think about it the more I can't get passed just how impossible it would be for these two animals to meet. Knowing that one would probably be dead from environmental reasons makes it difficult to think about.
