Trent didn't go from the #3 pick to a bust. He just went to the Browns.

I say the Colts win this trade big time b/c the Browns are just going to draft another Brandon Weeden/Colt McCoy. They will find a way to waste it.

using the #3 pick on a RB is a bust. the browns are admitting that today

Cleveland took one look at Jacksonville and said "If we want the #1 pick, we have to get even worse. Let's start Hoyer and trade Richardson." Look for Jacksonville to respond by picking up Tebow. It's on, now.

Tebow wins. They'd best stick with Gabbert if they want Clowney.

exactly...in this era there's absolutely no justification for taking a RB so high.

What's funny is the Browns just gave up on a first round QB and RB, but will probably take another QB and RB/WR next year who will end up flaming out as well....that's how it works in CLE

It's definitely a win for Trent. I'm glad he's the hell out of there.

I doubt the Browns take a first round RB next season. They'll take a QB with their high pick and have an opportunity to address another need in the mid-first round. It'll put them in a better spot.

If I were Cleveland, I would strongly consider calling the Redskins and seeing if they would take the Indy pick for Cousins. He'd help them win some games this year, which I know they don't want, but he'd be better off next season than he would be if they traded for him in the offseason.

speaking of investing in backup QBs to trade for firsts, everyone is talking shite about hoyer, but the pats were sure they'd get a top pick for him a few years ago...then they cut him

I was surprised he actually got to be the #2 QB at any point during his time in NE

What other weapons did the Browns have? Defenses stacked the box.

You won't be able to stack the box with the Colts. Too many other weapons

yep. its almost as though 80% of the posters on this site know little to nothing about football

That's the point though, their team sucks even with him so they might as well get a pick that could contribute to a potential winning team in a few years. By that point Richardson would already have a lot of tread on the tires. Running back is one of the easier positions to fill anyways.

That would be a very smart move. I think Cousins is a great qb, and if wasn't for the hype around RG3, could possibly be the starter.
However, we are talking about the Cleveland Browns. The only thing they are the best at, is doing everything wrong.

Look for the Browns to trade their new first round pick for QB Matt Flynn.

Brokedown mentally

In regards to Coffee. Come the frick on. The dude was pushing to share carries from Frank Gore who is the #1 RB ever for SF49ers. Granted the 2 RB system in the NFL is popular. Who knows if he'd ever be #1. Behind a franchise RB, probably not.

However, to say someone mentally broke down to turn down a six figure pay check because his heart wasnt in it anymore to become a preacher / US Army paratrooper. I can't knock the man for that.

This is very good news for Trent Richardson.

I wish the Bucs could find a way to trade Freeman to Cleveland. He needs to go somewhere where players rot.
