I'll put in my vote as I don't mind the move.

Colts are trying to win now obviously. Might end up a bad move, but they are trying.

Browns got some good value out of it, and can retry building, as this version of the Browns on offense wasn't cutting it.

I think it's a smart move by the Browns.

They have a long way to go. Even if they continue to make smart moves by the time they're a serious playoff contender the tread will be off of the Richardson tires anyway.

Better to cut your losses and build for the future.

Completely agree. They were gonna lose with or without Richardson.

Unless you're getting AP, you NEVER draft a RB in the top 15. Hell top 5 is laughable.

He's still a guy that got you nearly 1500 total yards and 12 TDs. So you essentially throw him away for 1 player, next year, that has a very strong chance of not being as good, productive or as well liked as the guy you traded him for.

This seems like a very risky, lateral move. It does nothing for you now, and since you're only getting 1 player in the mid to late 1st round next season, who knows if he'll measure up to what you gave away for him.

Some of you are acting like the Browns just made the Hershel Walker trade or something? It just seems pointless to me.

In this scenario, IF this was real, The New Orleans Saints would be getting a steal!

Dude's another broken down back out of Bama. He had the benefit of running behind an historic line. Now in the NFL he's decent, but beat up already and which is why he's constantly hurt. Just like Ingram and Lacy. NFL execs are going to start connecting the dots soon. For every Julio, you get 5 Ingrams and Coffees.

I like the idea of trading him, but they should have been able to pull more than one probably mid-round first round draft choice. Probably should have gotten a 2 for next year as well. After all, we gave up a firster (late)for ahem rookie RB with far less credentials from the same school.

Makes sense for both teams but the timing is weird. He could be their next edgerin James, and browns can tank this year and start over with Clowney and a qb.

a steal by cleveland

Some Gm's are wondering how the hell cleveland got more than a 3rd rounder for him.

remains to be seen...

I think Trent could/will flourish in Indy...really an ideal situation for him. The AFC south defenses are a lot softer than AFC north defenses......

His point was that Lacy is "broken down" because he has been in the NFL for 2 whole weeks worth of games? Sure, he got a concussion, but anyone would have sustained a concussion had they taken that hit.
