The fans that boo ingram usually don't truly understand football. Yea, the YPC compared to sproles and Pierre... bla bla bla. But why is the YPC so low for ingram but so high for sproles? Maybe the way we use ingram compared to sproles? Or is it the defensive packages they face? Check this link out and it explains the YPC per defensive packages. Very interesting and to me the Saints need to do a better job of using Ingram. They only run him in short yardage or first down situations against a base defense. Any running back would have trouble being put in such predictive situations. LINK

It's sounding as though everyone agrees that the fans at the game will likely boo him and boo him soon unless he produces.

Because Ingram sucks. New day, new excuse.

Boo Payton for sending him back out there. Ingram doesn't have control over how many touches he gets.*

*Note I'm not defending Ingram as I think his time here is done but ultimately the head coach is the one who calls the plays.

This is BS. More than half of his touches have been play action. He does not run the ball every time he's in there.

If Ingram gains 8 yards on his 1st carry he will be cheered, and if he loses 1 or 2 yards on his next carry... Well, you know what's going to happen !.. BOOOOOOOOOOOO....

If we have a good offensive line there is no need to trade up for a heisman trophy winner we can just draft a Hofstra running back. The saints called Ingram before he was drafted and Ingram could have said no, your offensive line isn't good enough

Apparently, Ingram is doing us the favor of blessing us with his participation.

I've never seen such blind support by a fan base for a former player than Bama fans and Mark Ingram. The guy was good in college. I mean really good. But the blatent disregard for his body of work in his 2 plus years in the NFL is absurd. Mark Ingram isn't a good NFL running back. This is not my opinion. That is a fact.

I want Mark Ingram to be great. I want every single player on the Saints team to be the best player that has ever played the game. I effing love the Saints and couldn't care less what college they went too. We could have a team filled solely with Bama players and Bama coaches and freaking former Bama equipment managers - if they were good at their jobs and performed I'd cheer my arse off. But that's not the case. When you find yourself having to list obscure defensive package links to defend a heismen trophy winner sometimes the simplest answer is the correct one - he just isn't that good at NFL football

Well remember he told the LSU players before the NC that the Dome was HIS house. He was, of course, acting like a total a-hole which is par for the course for him though.

No reason to boo. It's not like the guy isn't trying hard or not working. He obviously is. He's just not getting the yards for whatever reason.

Could care less what he did in college only worried about what he does as a Saint. And yeah players never talk shite to one another

Now that's just wrong talk about his performance all you want. Which admittedly has been horrid so far. He has, however, not once displayed brash, shite talking, or assholish behavior while he has been a saint.

You my friend just proved some of the Ingram hate does indeed stem from him going to Alabama.

I just don't think a lot of Bama fans watch enough so they just assume that he is hated cause he went to Bama. I would love more than anything to see him do great but it just hasn't happened. Stutter steps too much IMO. Hopefully he can turn things around.
