I've been to BR several times, but this weekend will mark my first trip to Tiger Stadium...a night game in Death Valley has always been a big "bucket list" item for me. I'm planning on coming into town mid-afternoon on Friday and tailgating till Sunday around noon.

Any advice for the rookie tailgater to find a good spot to park a decent size travel trailer and truck? Thanks!

You'll know you're in visitor parking when you see hundreds of ruptured piss balloons littering the pavement.

Yeah, I keep hearing about the HORRIBLE treatment I'm likely to receive...like amazing food, invites to party, amazing food, good looking women...did I say amazing food?

Oh yeah, and piss balloons.

Thanks, and I'm sure we'll have a blast. Worst case, I've got family up in Baker and we can just park the trailer up there and get a ride down to the game...but that doesn't really accomplish the goal of enjoying a big tailgate weekend on campus (or near campus).

Guess I'll just try my luck at what should be the free lots and hope for the best.

Thanks for all the feedback, guys. Looking forward to it...

Go to ticket exchange or ticket market place, might be able to pick up a touchdown village parking pass. That's where all the rv's park. (Look on the game parking map to find location) As long as you don't make an idiot of yourself, folks will make fun and harass ya, but if you show them you can handle the ribbing, you'll have a friend for life! You will be invited to eat some of the most wonderful food imaginable. If you spend Friday night there, you will have plenty of friends by morning.

Just remember we all have our share of idiots and losers, get with a nice group and have fun. I will be in the R V lot across from the vet school you are welcome to tailgate with us.

You mean the paid lot 407? I'm concerned based on the gameday material that it's for Motorhome only...I'm pulling a travel trailer / camper, which while it's a nice one, it's not a motorhome and doesn't meet the letter of the law.

I'll call the ticket office shortly and confirm the fine print. Thanks for the hospitality...we'll certainly take you up on it if we can get in that area.

Especially read the Auburn page so you know how horrible it really is.

Tailgating is really dangerous.

No not lot 407. Touch down village one & two.
There are some trailers parked there. Just can't leave your vehicle hooked up. If you get there night before, plenty of place to park. Just make sure you got all supplies before morning. If you leave your spot will be gone when you return

But always a good idea to check with ticket office to confirm what I'm telling you about travel camper. But you have to purchase a parking pass

Hi...I have a pass that I have listed on EBAY in Touchdown Village 2B..great end spot with extra room. It is for RV's only...and regardless to what people are saying....I've never seen tailgaters get ugly until someone starts something with them...just saying. Email me at tlcloset@aol.com for info and it ends in about 2 hours

When I was a student a few years ago I had work early Friday mornings and remember there was always a big line of RVs lined up for what I assumed was the free RV lot, which I think is at the corner of River Road and Skip Bertman drive. Dont know much past that, RVs seem like too much hastle to me.

If you can't get a pass. I would suggest parking near campus somewhere. (preferably on the S side of campus. N side can get pretty rough pretty quick.

Just checked map. Yes 407 is single game RV'S parking lot. Don't know if they pre-sell or pay at gate. But would suggest you get there early Friday if u don't have pass. It's a first come basis. With passes in touchdown village, you have an assigned space. The one mentioned above is worth looking into.
