@JeffDuncan_: After 2 games, the Saints are ranked No. 9 in total defense in the NFL (395.0 ypg). DC Rob Ryan will be named Rex if they keep this up.

I know its early but this is just what we needed

Looking forward to playing a better offense and seeing how we do.

And im also looking forward to seeing if our offense can be dominant against anybody. Because our running game sucks. But Drew has gone against some good DB's so far.

That was really apparent yesterday.

Atlanta was a good offense and they did a superb job IMO.

Yeah. I mean, come on.

ATL doesn't count as a good offense?

not considering pittsburg or cincy we're #9 in defense.

saints are #9 in offense as well

but the issue is 19.5ppg offensively. bright side: defensively giving up 15.5ppg (take out the pick-6, 12ppg - good for 3rd after seahawks and chiefs)

Does the pick 6 count against our defenses ranking?

Do they count it as our defense giving up 14 points vs Tampa or is counted as 7?

I knew the Saints would move up in total yardage from 18th into the Top 15, but Top Ten??? Damn, that's friggin' awesome.

Then again, Tampa's week one offensive effort gave us a clue the Saints defensive stats would improve: LINK

No, the D has not been good enough for me yet. The kid from TB absolutley gashed us yesterday. The DL needs to get healthy in a bad way to be more formidable. I want to actually WIN a playoff game. I don't see our D good enough or consistent enough - yet.
Sorry if you're butthurt - just callin' it the way I see it.

Whoa.
That's a pretty bold thing to say to Coco when he was being civil with you.

I would agree our D has not arrived yet , but it damn sure is way better than the past couple of years which is not saying much. For the life of me, I don't see why you let Vincent Jackson off the line of scrimmage without jamming him. Its not like he has great speed.

How? By ignoring stats and facts?

We wanted improvements on the defensive side of the ball and we got that. What makes it more impressive is that the offense isn't even clicking yet. I guess you want perfection. You sound like a fricking idiot though.

Pretty hard to improve on the worst D in NFL history isn't it? What did the Bucs kid do to us yesterday on the ground? Check the mirror for Idiocy and Homercy.
Look, foo...I'm elated there is some swag that has returned to D and there is definite room for optimism. I'm in on that. It ain't good enough right now. Ya dig?
