Trying to stay in the $50 range. TIA

None of the lower end turtle beach headsets are any good? I just dabble with PC gaming and i don't want to spend a ton of money on a headset. Currently i have the cheap walmart $10 headset.

I bought I nice pair of headphones (for gaming and listening to music and such) and use a cheap mic. That's the best option, but you'll need to spend around $100.

plantronics gamecom 780. simple, comfortable, inexpensive. has worked really well for me so far.

When i finish grad school I will probably move up to some 200 dollar cans, a standalone mic, and dedicated sound card, but these work great for me for now.

Steel series Siberia v2 can be had for around that price. They are serviceable from what I've heard.

I am sure its fine. No one fifty dollar headset will be any better than another tbh.

True. Hopefully they will be better than my $10 walmart pair.

I don't even have a set so your ahead of me. When I do it will be a very cheap set since I haven't heard the difference.

I have the logitec G230 they are great. After looking on amazon you can get them for $40.

a 50 dollar set will definitely get the job done. Granted they won't last as long or sound nearly as good as a 200 dollar pair, but I feel like there's diminishing returns beyond the 50 dollar region, especially if running on board sound. I'm sure its one of those things where once you try a nice pair you never go back though.
