What show could I start from Day 1 to start watching?

I watched Season 1 of Game of Thrones but forgot a lot of stuff, so I would probably need to start over so that I don't feel lost.

I've seen a couple episodes of Boardwalk Empire and I enjoy that....

What would the board recommend?

GoT is amazing. Just a ton of characters and hard to follow.

Curb is the funniest show ever

Strikeback is good

House of lies is good

Yeah I enjoyed GoT the first season, but I tried watching S2 E1 and I was lost because I couldn't remember everyone and the storylines.

I highly recommend Boardwalk Empire, especially if you start from the beginning.

Game of Thrones FTW...seriously, start it over from the beginning if you are fuzzy about season 1 happenings. I've been on a season 1 rewatch since reading the books and I've picked up on so many things that I never did the first time around.

Sopranos, Generation Kill, Game of Thrones, Band of Brothers, The Pacific- Those are all on HBO Go.

I really like strike back. It is basically 24 with better action, hotter women, and nudity!

I watched the first episode of GoT and it was boring as hell IMO. I'll give it another shot at some point though.

boardwalk empire is pretty good. dark, fricked up, shoot outs, etc.

true blood is good, especially considering it shares a premise with twilight. if you get over the ridiculous portrayal of Louisiana, it's a fun show.

of course, band of brothers and the pacific are givens. some of the best TV you'll ever see.
