Anyone know about donating insects to LSU vet, or LSU science dept.?

I caught a black widow and it made 2 big ol egg sacs and one is about to hatch.
I figured they might be able to put it to some use (maybe antivenom?) instead of just killing them with fire.

You won't have to worry about it, that spider and her satan offspring will kill and eat you while you sleep tonight.

I doubt it. I grew up in the country and handled insects and reptiles since I was little. Plus its in a jar outside on my back porch.

You could contact the Entomology department. But I don't think a black widow is that rare.

Nahh, I know they arent rare I just figured I'd look into it before they are disposed of.

You never know how they could be used in a positive way..
