Just got an invite to hunt Saturday morning and afternoon. I've shot the shite out of doves and quail but never got into ducks. What kind of license do I need and what size steel shot??

Gotcha. Post office for the stamp? I've never bought a stamp or steel shot.

Sporting goods store for federal stamp. It's $15. Attach to license and sign.

Just get it when you get your resident duck and HIP

HIP is free - just a survey

Stick your stamp on the back of the license and sign your name all the way across it.

Good Luck We will all need it.....

I don't think there's a requirement to attach the stamp to your license, is there? The back of the stamp simply says to sign it.

Thanks for the help. I've done the HIP with my dove license so I just need state and fed duck. Y'all shoot #4 steel. Is that the highest shot steel goes?

Authority? Serious question, I want to be in compliance and am genuinely curious.

I've always been told to attach it too. I think so you cannot hand one to your buddy after you sign with your illegible medical signature.

So if you have a lifetime, I guess it gets attached to your HIP. Wonder what they did before that?

I've always attached. The one year I had to run out and get one before the season we get stopped and GJ asked me to attach and sign in front of him.
