Went to Song Phi Nong for Thai last time I was there. Very good. Plus they have a great beer bar connected to it

White Bowl, viet, LINK /
+1 on Song Phi Nong
Both of these are in the same general area as Copelands (the MLK/Corporate area)

Melvin's, for an old school lunch and sitting in the window tables by the canal

Christiano's, Cafe Dominique, and Cafe Milano both do lunch as well, if you're looking for a more upscale atmosphere.

You can do way better than Copelands! Or drive a little bit to Bayou Delight for a fried fried fried lunch.

that Thai place is indeed quite good .. and they have a nice price point, especially compared to a place like La Thai in New Orleans.

No doubt about that

I usually try to steer people to Big Mike's BBQ Smokehouse

I haven't tried the Viet place but I've heard good things. Don't even think about Mexican in Houma. It's all awful.

Christiano's is great but I've never been for lunch. It could hold its own in NOLA

Not even in the top 3 IMO

Mr. Poboy
Classy Cajun
Melvin's

All 3 are easily better. Not sure what else is still around there

Without having been to Nancy's yet, there are better places for po-boys in Houma. French Loaf and Griffins

I know op is probably already sitting in Copelands, but Boudreaux & Thinkdeaux's actually isn't bad...went for dinner with the family for the first time in 10 years not too long ago, we were all very pleasantly surprised.
