This is becoming a rivalry. These two started playing each other back in 2011. Mandy took the first matchup with Catholic taking the season opener last year only to meet in the quarters. A hard fought game but a couple crucial mistakes cost Catholic the game. Should be a great matchup at Olympia this Friday.
Give me your pick!

With the separation in the playoffs this game means nothing.

still 10 power points to the winner and bragging rights...

Mandeville held a Texas 5A playoff team to 7 points last week...

And CHS beat the hell out of the almighty powerful flagship team of BR according to some posters on this board.

ETA: CHS is the flagship of BR. DWI

That's the only relevant question. If he does, bears roll.

I ran into Coach Boudreaux just two nights ago. I should have asked. Catholic seems pretty loaded with Guice, but I believe they scored 0 points after he left the Parkview game in the 3rd quarter last week. I hope he is able to play. However, he could sit out the entire season and it wouldn't matter because every single 5A select school (all 11 of them) will make the playoffs this year. A team could go 0-10 and win the State Championship in 5A select this year. So if I am Coach Weiner, I would rest Guice a couple of weeks just to be safe.

That would've been his last series anyway. After we went up 28-0 we had subs in and were milking the clock, hence the 0 points after he got hurt.

This game is what high school football is all about. Two great coaches that run two first class programs. I saw the playoff game last year between these two teams and it was a back and forth game where both teams played their hearts out.

Everything that I have heard about Catholic is that they are supposed to be really good this year. The QB is back, Guice is the real deal and I heard Catholic's freshmen RB is going to turn a lot of heads this year. Last week Mandeville beat a very good Texas team that won state in Texas 5A Football just two years ago. It was a typical Mandeville game where they were completely outmatched physically by Dekaney but they still won it pretty easily. I would be surprised if this game wasn't a great high school football game.

With no state championship?

CHS needs to chill with the inner city recruiting.

Flagship my arse
