Saban basically said if misconducts is brought to his attention he will take action i.e. if players are paid and he doesn't know about it he is not responsible. Did anyone at OSU told Miles of violations and didn't take action?

they are completely different allegations.

The entire point of the SI allegations is that it came from the top; however, there isn't real evidence to support the claim.

I look forward to the day when LSU fans stop comparing LSU and Miles to all that is Bama and Saban.

Here is A FACT that all know on this board: NOTHING happens within a 30,000 mile radius of Saban that he doesn't control or know about.

My one concern with the OSU allegations is that I am sure Miles leaving for us did not sit well with OSU higher ups and wealthy, influential supporters. I am sure they would love nothing more than to paint this as all Miles to 1) Keep their reputation clean and 2) to get a little payback on Miles. Apparently nothing can be done regards anyone due to statute of limitations but every highly rated recruit/class will be looked upon with suspicion as well as any player lightly disciplined in others eyes. No big wup but better get used to it. BTW, I am sure Miles is not clean on this OSU thing, as are most coaches at big time programs.

It will....10 years ago it was USC, 15 years ago it was Florida and in 10 years it will be someone else. Things are cyclical....I'm just ready for a change.

Just wait. By the end of the week, this will be all the agents' fault and they will be facing charges in the state of Alabama.

The NCAA has a statute of limitations?

It's different because in the Yahoo report, players had direct relationship with agents outside the relm of the school. As long as the schools didn't provide access to said agents and are forthcoming in their investigation about what happened (which is what got USC in trouble), the schools are in the clear.

In the SI report, the coaches were the facilitators of the wrongdoing.

Now, having said that, remember, Les Miles is untouchable in the SI case. The SOI is 4 years and can only be extended in the case of ongoing violations. So, if the NCAA finds that the Gundy regime did somethign wrong, they can go back to the entire Gundy regime for the same violations. But, Miles' association with OSU ended the day he went to LSU.

It is pretty simple:

One coaches for a media darling, and the other doesn't.

Saban when he retires. Bama never. We play them every year, you always compare yourself to your peers.

Bamasessed.

Sabansessed.

It will never end.

And I guarantee they don't spend nearly as much time thinking about us as our fans do about them.

The uniqueness with the Bama case is that it was one player who was the conduit for all the money, even to OPPONENTS' players.

This creates an environment where on some gamedays, some of your team's players are dependent on your opponent's player for $$. Think that affects any plays? Maybe, maybe not. But the maybe is the problem.

These are just the guys they were able to catch. Who knows, some of LSU's players may have been dependent on a Bama player for $$. We know now that Tennessee and MSU players were. No one really knows the full extent of this.
