The line up looks incredible

Sorry, it's in an odd format that isn't good for copying and pasting so I'll just have to provide the link to the lineup

LINK /

I haven't heard of about 2/3 of these people but I'd imagine a lot of people here would know most of them.

I've got a couple of friends in Okkervil River so I am hoping to make one of the weekends.

Dying to see Lionel Richie, too.

I'm just saying. I've produced a Grammy winning album and 3 Billboard #1s but I don't sit here boasting about it.

Doubt it.

Wasn't boasting. My friends are playing and I want to go see them. Fact.

You and everyone else! I work in the "music industry" and hear that all the time with these guys calling us wanting free shite.

Always wanted to check out ACL. But there's only 4 or 5 bands I'd care to see

Yeah, but only in the Zilker area. At least it's not like South By where the entire city is a venue and/or clusterfrick.

L Boogie-I'm moving to Austin at the beg. of next yr and was looking at places near ZP actually. How's that area? What do you recommend?

Come with a career job lined up so you're a step ahead of most of that town.

I used to live in Barton Hills and I LOVED it. The only reason I moved is because I got a house with a couple of friends. Great area but kind of pricey.

What would you recommend? What is the Barton Hills area? I want to live in a safe neighborhood with the ability to walk to things.

Barton Hills is in the Zilker area. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shops on S. Lamar within walking distance.

I want to see Muse, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys

After that, I don't care. I'm going to let my traveling companion pick the rest.

Is there anyone on else playing that you would recommend me checking out? My friend says Vampire Weekend is good but I'm not familiar with them.

Tickets for 2nd weekend should be easy to get for super cheap. It hasn't even sold out. They are selling for $100-150 each for wristbands on craigslist, which is significantly below face value.

Yeah, everyone who paid full price to go last weekend is pissed .

I dont think it will go 2 weekends next year.

I didn't make it last weekend but I am getting a pass for this weekend.

Going this weekend - plenty of bands ill gladly catch a set from but only a few can't miss. Honestly really ok with that as I can leisurely wander instead of stressing over getting the schedule dead right, or being stuck with gaps I don't enjoy anyone (even if I wouldn't buy tickets just to see them)
