Just finished watching this series for the 2nd time last night, noticed a couple things:

The actor that plays Badger, Mark Sheppard, also played the role of Romo Lampkin, Baltar's attorney in BSG. He was the guy with the sunglasses and cane. I like him, I'll have to find some more stuff with him in it.

The guy who played Jubal Early the bounty hunter in episode 14 was awesome. I had totally forgotten about him, but he was one of the most interesting personalities of the series.

His musings were awesome. "Does that seem right to you?"

Richard Brooks - he played prosector Paul Robinette in the early days of Law and Order.

What's eerie is that in the sequel to The Crow - he played a character named Judah Earl (close).

Underrated actor, and his performance in Firefly was very memorable - about as memorable a one-off guest as they had on Firefly (Badger and Saffron appeared twice, each.)

Simon: Are you Alliance?
Jubal Early: Am I a lion?
Simon: What?
Jubal Early: I don't think of myself as a lion. You might as well though, I have a mighty roar.
Simon: I said "Alliance."
Jubal Early: Oh, I thought...
Simon: No, I was...
Jubal Early: That's weird.

Jubal Early: Man is stronger by far than woman, yet only woman can create a child. Does that seem right to you?

His last line after Mal kicked him off the ship was pretty great too. "Well, here I am."

When Simon criticized him for knocking Book out, saying it was wrong to attack a Shephard, Jubal said "That ain't a Shephard." It had been hinted throughout the series that Book had a colorful past, but I don't recall anyone else straight out denying that Book was a Shephard. Just a thought.

I'm going to watch Serenity again tonight or tomorrow night, but I remember the antagonist in that was pretty impressive as well.

Chiwetel Ejiofor's "The Operative" - memorable as well, but that was feature film. Mr. Universe was memorable as well.

Chiwetel Ejiofor is playing Solomon Northrup in the upcoming Twelve Years a Slave film (based on a true story, set in Louisiana).

It was great. Kind of like a live-action, Americanized Cowboy Bebop.

One of the graphic novels answered this question.
