That Joe is a swell guy. He knew that people were having problems getting into the stadium, so they set up the "lightning" excuse to allow time for everyone to enter the game before kickoff.

They had state trooper holding back the crowd and letting liek 50 people to gates at a time. So instead of the line slowley moving forward, it was a stand still.

They tried to change the old multiple lines format to this single zig zag setup and it was a complete disaster. I was lucky enough to be toward the front before it got out of hand, but my friend told me later that eventually people started pushing barricades over thinking they wouldn't get into the game before kickoff and they had waited for over an hour and a half. They finally quit scanning LSU IDs so that everyone could get in. Thank God they're changing it.

I only opened this thread because I 100% thought Alleva was apologizing to the student body for ruining college football for this generation by scheduling all the fricking neutral site games.

Sounds like our experience trying to get in Gate G at JerryWorld. 50 minutes in line and we left the RV lot an hour and a half before kickoff.

It wasn't just the student section gates. I stood in the longest line ever to get into the East Upper Saturday. It was a complete cluster-frick once you got to the ticket-takers/bag checkers.
