I'm not sure if this topic goes here, but if so please give me some insight.

I just graduated college and bought a 2009 Rav4. I have had 1 ticket for 10mph over. No wrecks and good student discount.

I am getting quoted at 150 a month. I am 23 also. I want to stay with state farm because my family deals with them, but is this a good rate? Or should I shop around a little bit. Thank you for your time.

Depends on the coverage but that isn't terrible for Louisiana for someone under 25 with a ticket on record.

If you are not getting any discounts like multi car, etc. just go to Geico and save some money. State Farm is only comparable if you have multiple lines.

My insurance was cut nearly in half when I moved from Progressive to GEICO.

You're under 25
You don't have a clean record
You aren't married
Single car policy
Your credit probably isn't great (speculation bc of age)
You live in Louisiana (more speculation)
You don't own a home (again...assuming)
You are a male

If they are quoting you decent coverage, I'd say that is a GREAT rate.

This doesn't really mean a lot without telling us your coverage limits.

It will go back up. Just give it some time. That's how they get you.

Comprehensive 100
Collison 500

All of the information is correct. But my credit is good in the 700s. Thanks

Not bad then.

What are your liability limits?

I wouldn't buy 15,000/30,000/25,000 even if I were young. I'd recommend 50/100k at least.
