I'd like to camping. Preferably within 150-200 miles of BR. What's the best places? I've got a nice 10-person tent I've only used once and I'd like for it to be in a remote place where the campgrounds are separated from other campers. Ideas?

Clear springs in Miss. Not sure how isolated of a camping spot you will find. It's been a long time since I've been there. Also look into Lake Kincaid campground near Alexandria. They have some trails to hike if you want to get away from the crowd.

There are a lot in Mississippi that rarely get used around Natchez and Meridian. U can camp in the fall in Ocean Springs at the seashore which is fun if u have a boat

Very nice place. I enjoyed it a lot when we stayed out there. Also Indian creek is good also like someone else mentioned.

I'm sure you will get many great answers on here but don't over look Natchez State Park. Really nice lake, trails, facilities, and still close enough to all the historical sites in/around Natchez.

We have avoided Kincaid because of the tight federal rules and no lake front pads. Not sure if they have a tent area or not.

All are. When they say no driving off pavement, they mean it. have part of a tire overhanging the blacktop and touching a blade of grass, and you're going to hear about it.

That is a fact. But you could kill a mess of squirrels if they allowed it. They are everywhere by the campground.

Campgrounds in Kistache National Forest

Check out Kisatchie National Forest has more than 604,000 acres, is spread across seven parishes in Louisiana and is divided into five managed units called Ranger Districts. Hidden in the bayous, beneath the bald cypress groves and old growth pine, is a world of natural beauty, excitement, learning, recreation, resources and wildlife in their purest form. I grew up in this place camping, hunting fishing it is amazing
