What kind of idiot puts a drumline on an exit ramp. People just wanted to stand there and clap. They were just playing like a cadence.

A different drumline that the one in the square pregame.

Took forever to move.

Yes, that was stupid and some people even yelled for them to move. Also, they finished off the last of my hearing when I walked by.

They could have stood on Poydras or just off the ramp and it would have been a lot better. The idiots who stood and watched them play a cadence made it worse.

I passed it on street level and it looked swamped.. But everyone had their phones out videotaping the walk down and the drummers standing on the sides.

I enjoy the people who just stop in the middle of the crowded walkway to have conversations.

That's what I figured.

I asked because I'm the "idiot" who put the drumline there. Lol.

I thought the crowd reaction was great. I saw one guy pissed and yelling at us that we were holding things up. Maybe napoleon?

I looked down the ramp as saw that it wasn't moving any faster after people passed the drumline. Only a handful of people stopped, no one for longer than a minute.

Had we set up on Poydras it wouldn't have been a mess.

And yes, it was the same drumline that performs in champions square pregame. And yes, it was just a cadence (that's kinda what drumlines do). We don't get paid to perform. We do it because we love the saints and love drumming. It was hot, those drums are heavy, and we're a bunch of middle aged guys/gals sweating for 20 minutes.

Sorry if we delayed your exit by a few minutes. We thought the experience of walking through a drumline after such a big win would be worth the few minutes of ur life you'll never get back.

We prob won't do it again for a while because we then got stuck in traffic for the next hour. Guess I should bitch about that...

Your drumline is awful, btw. Literally every high school band in the city has a better drumline.

The big ramp down to Poydras, that splits into to smaller ramps.

The drumline was at the split.

People were just stopping to watch them. No one was moving.

Like at the base of the T. Maybe if you set up on the wider spot of the ramp?

No actually I wanted to see if your drumline was the one my friend Thomas D. plays the quints on. He told me he was doing a drumline.

It was just the people who stopped in the middle causing an issue. The other ramp wasn't blocked, but once you were in the crowd you were kind of stuck.

again, my issue wasn't at all with the quality. It was more with the people who just stopped. I couldn't even see the drumline in the herd I was in. Finally backed out the crowd and went around the ramp.

I was wondering if you lined up on the wider part of the ramp would it have been better?

It was the people stopping where the big ramp makes a "T" that was the issue.

I know my friend in the drumline was a DCI vet. I think he is a band director at a local school this year. Great guy. Wanted to see him, but didn't see any tall black guys playing quads or quints.
